AI Detector 360

AI Essay Checker

Know your AI score before your professor does

Whether you wrote every word yourself or used AI tools within your school's rules, submitting blind is a risk — detectors false-flag real writing, especially from non-native English speakers. Check first, understand what's flagged, and keep the PDF report as your record.

  • Upload PDF/DOCX or paste text
  • Sentence-level flag map
  • PDF report as evidence
  • For students AND educators

How it works

1

Upload or paste

PDF, DOCX or raw text up to 30,000 words. 1 credit per 100 words.

2

See what detectors see

Multi-engine score, per-sentence heatmap and the exact signals driving it.

3

Fix or document

Rework genuinely risky passages in your own voice — or export the report as evidence you checked in good faith.

For students: protection, not evasion

A 2023 Stanford study found AI detectors flagged 61% of essays by non-native English speakers as AI-generated. False accusations happen, and they are stressful and hard to fight after the fact. Pre-checking gives you two things: awareness of which passages read as "AI-typical", and a timestamped report showing you did your diligence.

To be clear about our values: this tool is for understanding and documentation — not for iterating AI-generated text until it slips past your school's detector. That's a violation of most academic policies, and it usually fails anyway.

For educators: evidence, not verdicts

If you review student work, our reports are designed for fair process: confidence levels front and center, sentence-level detail instead of one scary number, explicit warnings on short texts, and a methodology page you can share with students. Detection should start conversations, not end them.

  • Batch-friendly credits (a 2,500-word paper = 25 credits)
  • Consistent scoring you can reference across submissions
  • Fair-use guidance aligned with current research on false positives

Frequently asked questions

Will checking my essay here get me flagged at school?

No. Your scans are private to your account, are not shared with institutions, and are not used to train third-party detectors. You can delete any scan and its report at any time.

What AI percentage is safe for an essay?

There is no universal threshold — institutions set their own policies, and score interpretation depends on confidence and text length. Turnitin, for example, only reports documents above 20% AI. Focus on high-confidence flagged sentences rather than the single percentage.

Can I upload a PDF or Word document?

Yes — PDF, DOCX, TXT and MD files up to 20 MB. We extract the text and analyze it exactly like pasted text, at 1 credit per 100 words.

My writing is honest but keeps getting flagged. What do I do?

You are not alone — formal academic style triggers false positives. Vary sentence lengths, keep personal voice where appropriate, save drafts and version history, and keep our PDF report as documentation. See our guide on defending against false accusations.
